HAZARDS INFORMATION
PHYSICAL AND CHEMICAL HAZARDS / FIRE
AND EXPLOSION HAZARDS ·1 Low hazard. Material can form flammable mixtures or can burn only upon heating to temperatures at or above the flash point.·2 Toxic gases will form upon combustion. [See Fire-Fighting Measures Section.] |
FIRST AID MEASURES
Inhalation: | Using proper respiratory protection, immediately remove the affected victim from exposure. Administer artificial respiration if breathing is stopped. Keep at rest. Call for prompt medical attention. |
Skin Contact: | Flush with large amounts of water; use soap if available. |
Eye Contact: | Flush eyes with large amounts of water until irritation subsides. If irritation persists, get medical attention. |
Ingestion: | If swallowed DO NOT induce vomiting. Keep at rest. Get prompt medical attention. |
FIRE FIGHTING PROCEDURES: ·1 Use water spray to cool fire exposed surfaces and to protect personnel. Shut off "fuel" to fire.·2 Use foam, dry chemical, or water spray to extinguish fire.SPECIAL FIRE PRECAUTIONS: ·1 Respiratory and eye protection required for fire fighting personnel.·2 Avoid spraying water directly into storage container due to danger of boil over.·3 See also [First Aid Measure Section] as well as [Stability and Reactivity Section.]HAZARDOUS COMBUSTION PRODUCTS: Fumes, smoke, Carbon Dioxide (CO2), Carbon Monoxide (CO) and Oxides of Nitrogen (Toxic) |
LANDS SPILL: ·1 Contain spilled liquid with sand or earth.·2 Recover by pumping (Use an explosion proof or hand pump) or with a suitable absorbent. If liquid is too viscous for pumping, scrape up with shovels or pails and place in suitable containers for recycle or disposal.·3 Consult an expert on disposal of recovered material and ensure conformity to local disposal regulations.·4 See Section on [First Aid Measures] as well as Section on [Stability and Reactivity.] |
WATER SPILL: ·1 Warn other shipping. Notify port or relevant authority and keep public away. Shut off source if possible to do so without hazard. Confine if possible·2 Remove from surface by skimming or with suitable absorbents. If allowed by local authorities and environmental agencies sinking and/or suitable dispersants may be used in non-confined waters.·3 Consult an expert on disposal of any recovered material and ensure conformity to local disposal regulations.·4 See also Section on [First Aid Measures] and Section on [Stability and Reactivity.] |
